Factum's films win three awards at Sarajevo Film Festival!

'Naked Island', written and directed by Tiha K. Gudac, won the Heart of Sarajevo, and Tatjana Božić’s 'Happily Ever After' won a special mention in the documentary competition. At the Docu Rough Cut Boutique, the award-winning project was 'A Two Way Mirror' by Katarina Zrinka Matijević Veličan

On Sunday, 23 August, the official award ceremony closed the 20th edition of Sarajevo Film Festival. Factum’s documentaries this year in Sarajevo won as many as three awards.

The documentary competition jury consisting of: Ananda Scepka, director of Open Doors, Co-production Lab Locarno Film Festival (Switzerland); Srđan Šarenac, director (Bosnia and Herzegovina); and Stefano Tealdi, director and producer (Italy), gave the main award – Heart of Sarajevo – in the best documentary category to the film Naked Islandby Tiha K. Gudac.

In the film, the director uses archive photos and testimonies of close people to reveal a great and painful family secret, conceived six decades ago in the political concentration camp Naked Island.

The film Happily Ever After, a humorous and ruthless portrayal of writer and director Tatjana Božić’s live life, won a special mention in the documentary competition.

The project A Two Way Mirror, written and directed by Katarina Zrinka Matijević Veličan, was awarded at Docu Rough Cut Boutique, Sarajevo Film Festival’s industry programme. This biographical documentary in the final editing phase won the Croatian Television Award.
