The documentary film 'Tusta' begins filming soon!

In March in Pula, the filming of the documentary film Tusta, about the prematurely deceased front man of the band KUD Idijoti Branko Črnac Tusta, will begin. With the multiple award-winning director Andrej Korovljev, the film is produced by Factum.

The making of this film is motivated by a sad event and the director’s moral and emotional debt of gratitude to a man who influenced many generations and whose death caused many tears. The film Tusta will close Korovljev’s trilogy of documentary films about Pula. two of his earlier films produced by Factum – A Story from Pula (1999) and Years of Rust (2000) also shed a light on Pula from unknown points of view. The film Years of Rust became an anthological piece of Croatian documentary practice and toured festival all over the world, garnering several acclaimed awards.

The filming will take place on locations where Tusta and KUD Idijoti left heir musical and existential traces – in Pula, Zagreb, Ljublljana, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Sarajevo and Skopje. The completion is expected in late 2014 and the premiere is scheduled for ZagrebDox festival. The film was co-funded by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.

The film producer is Nenad Puhovski, cinematographer Goran Legović, executive producer Tamara Babun, and the team also includes music critic and writer Anđelo Jurkas, art historian Paola Orlić, production assistant Neda Frank and many others.
