On the Greek island of Lezbos in mid-September the research work for the documentary film on Le Zbor, the first mixed lesbian-feminist choir in the region, began.
As research on the film project Song From Behind the Wall, a small film crew led by director Tomislav Fiket covered the performance of the artistic-activist collective Le Zbor at the International Women’s Festival in Eressos (Lesbos, Greece).
Besides their performance at this festival, taking place 6-20 September 2014, Le Zbor graced the festival’s opening ceremony. Interestingly enough, after a call for entries, Le Zbor took a same sex couple from Croatia on a pre-honeymoon to Greece.
Song From Behind the Wall is a film about Le Zbor, the first mixed lesbian-feminist choir in the region, whose music aims to have a positive influence on the living conditions of marginalised groups of women.
The project is currently at its development stage.
