Sarajevo Film Festival’s winning documentary has won the Central European Initiative Award at the recently closed 26th Trieste International Film Festival.
Naked Island, Tiha K. Gudac’s documentary film has won the CEI Award at the Trieste International Film festival, whose 26th edition took place 16-22 January. The CEI Award is presented to the film that best interprets the world we live in and promotes intercultural dialogue. The jury decided to give this award to Naked Island for its portrayal of a nation’s past that haunts its present.
Tiha K. Gudac’s debut film premiered last year at the Sarajevo Film festival, winning the Heart of Sarajevo for best documentary film. It also screened at Dokufest Prizren and Zagreb Film Festival, winning a special mention in the documentary category.
