Ivan Ramljak was born in Zagreb in 1974. He studied at FER, is a long-time journalist and editor in print and electronic media focused on film and music. From 1999 to 2004, he was one of the leaders of the Močvara club, the author of Film Nights in the Močvara programme, and the organizer of the first Human Rights Film Festival edition in Zagreb. Since 2006, he has been engaged in film production and directing. In 2009, together with Marko Škobalj, he co-directed the short film “Liberation in 26 Pictures”, the winning film of the Sarajevo City Film project. Among the author's other films, we can highlight "Islands of Forgotten Cinemas" (2016), "Dom boraca" (2018), "Once Upon a Youth" (2020), and "El Shatt – Nacrt za utopiju" (2023, Vladimir Nazor Award).
