Albert Kapović Award 2014 Goes to NenadPuhovski

The commission for the Albert Kapović Award reached a decision to present the 2014 award to film producer, CEO of Factum and ZagrebDox director NenadPuhovski. The news was released today on the HRUP website.

The award will be officially presented at the opening of Zagreb Film Festival on 19 October 2014. The explanation text written by the commission consisting of Irena Marković, VanjaSremac, Boris T. Matić, Tamara Babun and Nataša Petrović, who reached the award decision, follows:

EXPLANATION FOR THIS YEAR’S ALBERT KAPOVIĆ AWARD
Our colleague NenadPuhovski has for many years enthusiastically, successfully and continuously been an indispensable link in the field of the production, production stimulation and promotion of documentary film. This year’s success stories of Croatian films produced by Factum are a consequence of long-time efforts, persistence and powerful creativity. Knowledge, work, perseverance and an accent on social values are only some of the characteristics related to his contribution to Croatian cinema. With an indisputably renowned portfolio in the role of director, producer, founder of ZagrebDox and full-time professor at the Academy of Dramatic Art, NenadPuhovski is the fiercest advocate of the popularisation of Croatian documentary film and first of all responsible for the fact that this environment accepted documentary film as a genre equal to fiction.
