Documentary film 'Naked Island' wins Special mention in Sofia

The documentary film Naked Island, directed by Tiha K. Gudac, won a special mention in documentary competition at the 9th edition of Sofia International Film Festival, whose first part took place 5-15 March 2015.

The documentary competition comprised 11 titles, including Citinezfour by Laura Poitras, 20 000 Days on Earth by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, In the Basement by Ulrich Seidl and The Look of Silence by Joshua Oppenheimer, who won the main award in the documentary film category.

The film Naked Island screened at a large number of important festivals, and the awards it has won thus far include the Heart of Sarajevo for best documentary film, CEI Award at Trieste International Film Festival and a special mention in the documentary film category at Zagreb Film Festival.
