The DVD includes eight documentary works made in 1999 and 2000 at the Imaginary Academy in Grožnjan, directed by some of the most important names of local and European film.

On Friday, 24 April, in Europa Cinema’s Müller Hall, the DVD edition Documents of Time 01 – Grožnjan Years was presented. This is the first DVD from the new collection produced by the Imaginary Academy and Factum, and it was presented by the CEO of Factum, director and producer Nenad Puhovski, director Rajko Grlić and film critic Diana Nenadić.

The Imaginary Academy was founded in the mid-1990s, organised by the Centre for Dramatic Art from Zagreb and University of Ohio from Athens, USA, as a place for the development of film projects by the most talented young filmmakers from Croatia, the region and Eastern Europe. Between 1997 and 2001 around 20 documentaries were made, many of them winning awards in Croatia and internationally. Their directors have since then been considered among the most significant authors in their environments.

The DVD includes eight documentary films by participants of the Imaginary Academy in Grožnjan: Ottavio (1999) by Diana Groó and Attila Kékesi, Circa Oaza (1999) by Tatjana Božić, Drinking Water and Freedom III (1999) by Rajko Grlić, Good Luck! by Dalibor Matanić, Tomislav Rukavina and Stanislav Tomić, Years of Rust (2000) by Andrej Korovljev, Of Cows and Men (2000) by Zrinka Matijević Veličan and Nebojša Slijepčević, Terra roza (1999) by Aldo Tardozzi, and The Abandoned Town (2000) by Magdalena Piekorz.

After the presentation, the film Imaginary Academy – From Creativity to Education, directed by Dražen Žarković, was screened.
