First stop: Leipzig, Germany. And afterwards: Cottbus!
Sometimes it is very difficult to be quiet. At Factum, we have been practicing this diligently in recent months because we have known for a long time that Peacemaker will be part of the international competition program of this year's DOK Leipzig, one of the world's most important documentary film festivals. The Leipzig selectors selected Ivan Ramljak's film as soon as they saw it, which we are particularly proud of. The film will be screened three times, on October 30th and 31st, and November 4th. Peacemaker is one of only nine feature-length documentaries in the International Documentary Film Competition.
And after Leipzig, Mirotvorac is heading to Cottbus and the local film festival, which has been gathering the best films from Europe east of Germany in one place for 36 years. And where will the film go next? Our American friends would say: "Stay tuned!"
P.S.
Congratulations to Srđan Kovačević, the cinematographer of Peacemaker, who also won the competition at DOK Leipzig with his new film, The Thing to Be Done!
Great documentaries live and are made in Croatia!
