Dražen Žarković graduated in film and TV directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He is a freelance artist since 1993. He wrote and directed a number of fiction and documentary projects. He directed three feature narratives: Go, Yellow!, Tressette – A Story of an Island and The Mysterious Boy, TV film New Year’s Robbery and numerous documentaries. He was one of the directors of comedy serials Bitange i princeze, Odmori se, zaslužio si and Stipe u gostima. For his work on film and TV he received a host of merits, including four Oktavijan awards. On the international scene he had most success with Tressette – A Story of an Island, a film screened at a number of festivals and winner of seven international awards.
