Milena Zajović

Film journalist and editor, human rights activist and program coordinator at several Croatian film festivals. The only documentary film she has directed so far was produced by Factum.

Milena Zajović was born in Zagreb in 1983. She took a degree in Psychology from the Center for Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb. She is Editor in Culture Section of Večernji List daily. She is Selector and Program Coordinator of the Motovun Film Festival (2002-2012) and a Program Associate at ZagrebDox.

She worked as Advisor in Brojka Production Company (2008-2009) and Production Assistant on Jadran Boban's documentary film Ghosts of Zagreb. She worked as Sector Coordinator for numerous festivals (ZagrebDox, Queer Zagreb, Eurokaz...) and as associate in theaters and clubs (Zagreb Youth Theater, Knapp, Tvornica culture). As a human rights activist, she gained experience working for numerous NGOs.
