'Naked Island' at Dokufest

The documentary film Naked Island, written and directed by Tiha K. Gudac, has been selected for the Balkan:Dox competition at the documentary and short film festival Dokufest, taking place in Prizren (Kosovo) 16-24 August.

In the film Naked Island, the director, using archive photos and testimonies of her close ones, reveals a great and painful family secret conceived six decades ago at the political concentration camp Naked Island. This is producer Tiha K. Gudac’s directing debut, which proved successful already in the project stage. It participated at several important workshops and at Docu Rough Cut Boutique in Sarajevo 2012 it won the DOK.Incubator award. Aside from Dokufest, in August the film will be presented in Sarajevo Film Festival’s documentary competition.

Dokufest is one of the most significant documentary film festivals; every year it screens around 200 titles from all over the world. Additional information about the festival and programmes can be found on the official website.
