'Naked Island' Wins 13th Liburnia Film Festival

The 13th Liburnia Film Festival closed on Saturday at the port of Ičići. The documentary film Naked Island by Tiha K. Gudac won the best film award among 14 competition entries, and Dragan von Petrović is the best editor.

The jury consisting of Lejla Dedić, Tatjana Božić, Elvis Lenić, Igor Paulić and Davor Tatić decided to present the award to Naked Island which emotionally and honestly combines the public and the private and in its entirety presents an artistically and socially important piece in Croatian documentary practice.

Dragan von Petrović won the best editor award for Naked Island, for his storytelling skills that go beyond the usual role of an editor and for skilfully combining historical and social facts with the protagonist’s intimate world.
